Want to know something?
it all started with a dog who sat funny.
I have had great, great pet owners as clients. Over the years we have found many solvable pain problems together, and over time people started to bring me dogs who sat or acted funny but weren’t actually limping.
Guess what?! 99% of the time - when a dog can’t sit or lay comfortably there is something we need address to prevent injury and keep living well physically as young, adult and even senior dogs.
OK now that you have looked at the posture gallery pics - check out what we can see on video!
With educated eyes, you can help recognize pain in animals and get ahead of it.
This video is the heart of evaluating a dog for comfort.
Any dog should be able to get up and down through these phases with ease. This guy can do it, with some movements that are not a strong as others but with 90% capability - he has been practicing. In Dr. Marie’s classes, you will see strong examples of other dogs with differences.

how it started
“I always knew that there was a special bond and communication that takes place between humans and animals.”
They enhance every part of our life in teaching us how to be the kind of people they seem to think we are. It is my passion to help them live there most comfortable and fun life – with you.
I had a wild collection of pets growing up: dogs, cats, horses, birds, fish, guinea pigs, ferrets, rabbits, lizards, chinchillas, even a donkey!
I have been obsessed with communicating and training animals since I was very young. I studies animals and languages in college and found my true creative work to be understanding what animals are trying to say when they are afraid, uncomfortable, relaxed, happy, and in trying to normalize that interaction and optimize health for the animals and their owners as a veterinarian.
I have always loved horses and began with a career working with them first, specializing body work with chiropractic and acupuncture and joint care (lameness). I transitioned to mixed animal practice after my own injuries prevented me from doing full-time horse practice and evolved into a rehabilitation focused doctor for dogs and cats.
I now focus solely on: physical health plans
Pain management
Joint injections
Shockwave
Regenerative medicine: platelet rich plasma, stem cell therapy
Physical rehabilitation program design
Chiropractic care
Acupuncture
Nutrition: it is critical to control allergies and GI disease to control the pain system effectively
Puppy planning – note: this is a consult I can do online for anyone!
