Outcome and Timeline to Recovery
Brooklyn exceeded all of our expectations. Despite severe and long-term “rotator cuff” injury, she was more comfortable with two weeks, had no lameness within a month, and has been rarely lame except with rough play with her sister since!
CBPI Pain severity per owner: 1/10
CBPI Interference score: 1/10
We did not let her run for 4 months and brought her slowly to activity with underwater treadmill. She comes to rehab to maintain her flexibility and for special exercise to maintain her shoulder strength to prevent more damage.
Maintenance Plan
Brooklyn will need ongoing care with regular exercises that her family has chosen to do with us for the most part. She will likely need shockwave and rehab every 6 months and joint injections every 1-2 years.
She takes Adequan and Caneva and Flexadin Adv supplements for her tendon health and joint health.
