Outcome and Timeline to Recovery
Lucy is a young happy girl, she was experiencing pain due to patellar tendinitis and inflammatory arthritis in her knee - her pain was not fully controlled 2 months after her surgery - like it should be.
We reinstated her pain management and injected her knee with platelet rich plasma for the growth factors and inflammatory modulators she needed to heal.
We treated her tendon with shockwave to improve healing and flexibility.
She was more comfortable within a week and within 30 days had regained almost all of her muscle in her surgery leg with no pain in movement and without need for ongoing medications.
Her overall rehab plan took an extra month, it was well worth it for her to heal correctly!
CBPI Pain severity per owner: 0/10
CBPI Interference score: 0/10
Maintenance Plan
She is examined 2x per year by her vet for signs of arthritis. I recommend Dasquin Adv + ECM for her daily inflammation and joint protection.
